On 1 April, two new members join the leadership team in the Danish Hydrocarbon Research and Technology Centre (DHRTC). Together, they strengthen the team with solid industry experience and technology transfer capabilities.

Malene Rod Vest, new programme director and deputy centre director, and Anders Krag, new commercial director, will begin their new jobs on 1 April.

Malene Rod Vest is a chemical engineer by education and brings with her more than 20 years’ experience from the oil industry where she has worked for Maersk Oil, Shell and most recently for Total as part of the integration leadership. Malene is an experienced industry leader who has been involved in many oil and gas projects from the idea stages to the production phase, in Denmark and internationally. As programme director, Malene will have responsibility for development and delivery of DHRTC’s research portfolio.

Anders Krag has a background in civil and environmental engineering and brings some 15 years’ oil industry experience from Schlumberger, Maersk Oil, Hess and most recently Zacco, where he was working as a patent attorney and IP advisor. Furthermore, Anders served as Chairman for the Copenhagen section of SPE for a period. As commercial director, Anders will lead and support technology transfer, patenting and IPR processes, and business development efforts.

“At DHRTC, it is our philosophy that innovation happens best when highly motivated people from academia and industry collaborate on common challenges and potentials. With Malene and Anders onboard, DHRTC significantly strengthens its capacity and capability to turn the results from excellent research into useful technology concepts,” says Morten Jeppesen, center director.
