73 researchers want to be part of a new sprint and strengthen the scope of an upcoming research programme on produced water. This is the result of seven successful workshops held around the country. The first groups have submitted their idea in order to conduct radical research early next year.

The second radical innovation initiative called Radical Innovation Jumpstart has just been on a tour around Denmark, inviting people to hear more about the opportunity to do something radical about the handling and treatment of water in relation to oil and gas production.

While DHRTC is progressing on scoping the coming research programme Produced Water, the Radical Innovation Team developed Jumpstart. The aim of Jumpstart is to find radical ideas within produced water and potentially strengthen the scope of the upcoming produced water programme.

A series of Jumpstart ideation sessions were held in order for people to team up with others with different backgrounds and disciplines and across the research network.

“We urge people to join forces with others as we have experienced that when you get more perspectives, you unlock even more creative ideas which is then ready to be explored during a sprint,” says Karen Guldbæk, advisor at Danish Hydrocarbon Research and Technology Centre.

All partner institutions have participated and all sessions brought people together from different institutions.

“The first submissions have already been received and we know more are coming since we help all the applicants. We look forward to see all the suggestions for how to improve the produced water,” ends Karen Guldbæk.

Deadline for application is December 2. One from the application team is required to have attended one of the Jumpstart ideation sessions to qualify for application. If you have an idea, you just need to team up to submit.
