Throughout Denmark, scientists have radical ideas that suggest how different challenges that can be solved or handled better than done today in the oil and gas industry. If you would like to test your ideas, you are still welcome to engage in dialogue with the team behind Radical Innovation Sprint.

Validating radical ideas is a sprint towards clarifying whether a hypothesis holds water. This is also one of the reasons Radical Innovation Sprint (RIS) again this year attracts many researchers across disciplines and institutions throughout the country.

It is the third time that Danish Hydrocarbon Research and Technology Center (DHRTC) offers researchers and creative minds from Denmark and abroad to participate in a radical sprint, where they have the opportunity to get funding to test their wild ideas. A number of new researchers have shown great interest, as well as many participants from previous years want to join again.

“We are fully engaged in the dialogues and are already in engaged with among 50 researchers, each of whom has unique ideas for solutions to challenges related to the oil and gas industry. It is gratifying that there are still many radical ideas to be discovered,” says Karen Guldbæk Schmidt, Advisor at DHRTC, and emphasizes:

“There is still time before we reach the deadline for application on May 1. Therefore, we still hold workshops and are more than willing to meet with people for 1 to 1 meetings. We welcome everybody. ”

The team behind RIS already sees a trend regarding this year's ideas and what brings them together is a great appetite for crosslinking of disciplines.
