Meet the scientists on the world’s biggest geoscience conference EAGE

Wednesday 04 Apr 18

The Danish Hydrocarbon Research and Technology Centre is participating in the annual EAGE (European Association of Geoscientists & Engineers) conference located in Copenhagen. Here you can meet scientists from DHRTC in the exhibition hall and at sessions. One of the scientists talks about EAGE here.

Over 6,000 scientists and industry professionals from all over the world is coming together in Copenhagen at the world’s biggest geoscience conference this June. DHRTC will also be there and welcome you at a booth in the exhibition hall as well as you can meet the researchers and industry experts from the centre during the conference.

EAGE is an annual conference, which took place in Paris last year. Here, one of DHRTC’s geoscientists PhD fellow Tala Maria Aabø from University of Copenhagen both participated and gave a peer-reviewed conference talk on ”Correlation of Fractures from Core, Borehole Images and Seismic Data in a Chalk Reservoir in the Danish North Sea”. Tala will participate again at this year’s EAGE conference and elaborates that she is “looking particularly forward to the dedicated session on ´Fractured characterization in chalk´, which relates directly to my PhD and I hope to hear some interesting reflections from industry leaders as well as to discover how new technologies can be benefited upon”.

For first time attendees Tala recommends to “get a head start by studying the programme prior to the event kick-off. In the large pool of interesting talks, poster sessions and panel debates, the EAGE app provides a handy tool, and its notification scheme ensures that you are in the right place at the right time”.
