The third DHRTC Technology Conference has officially begun

On Monday 12 November over 270 participants from both academia and industry made their way to Crowne Plaza Copenhagen Towers, the location for the third DHRTC Technology Conference. Rasmus Larsen, provost of DTU and Trine Sannem Mønsted, head of division at Danish Energy Agency, welcomed the participants to the two-day conference.

In their opening speeches both Rasmus Larsen and Trine Sannem Mønsted addressed how the oil and gas sector can continue to extract oil and gas in the most efficient and sustainable way. Acting director at DHRTC, Morten Jeppesen, also made it clear in his welcoming speech that this is the mission for DHRTC and one that requires both industry and academia to cooperate and find the most optimal solutions.

Rasmus Larsen pointed out in his speech, that oil and gas are an integral part of Denmark’s green transition – and for this to become a reality, we need new and improved technological solutions. It is the goal that the Technology Conference will inspire to debates and solutions on the topic.

The programme for the two days is packed. There are technical presentations of the research programmes, a Challenge Café where participants can debate 12 different topics, inspiring presentations from representatives from Total and Eldor Technology and much more. There is also a competition for best poster, where over a hundred posters are competing for the winning price.
